TOLERANCES

Weld metal shrinks and distortion is a fact of metal fabrication. However, steps can be taken to ensure your parts are welded so finished products remain in tolerance. SmallPartsWelding.us uses the following techniques to deliver the highest quality and to specification:

• Following your engineering department's Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) ​
• First Article Inspections (FAI)
• Carefully planning weld sequence
  
• Limiting heat input to the minimum necessary to achieve weld design
